In the older neighborhoods, where the mist lingers and the cobblestones ooze damp, the name of the Street-Flayer is whispered. No one is certain what he is. Some speak of a vengeful spirit, others of a survivor disfigured by war or disease, consumed by isolation and madness. But all agree on one thing: his silhouette is etched in memories.
Tall, stooped, concealed under layers of ill-matched rags, he moves silently, as if absorbed by the night itself. His face is masked by a hand-sewn horror of leather and dried blood, with no discernible human features, like skin stolen from another. His arms end in sharp blades attached to his limbs like so many extensions of his hatred.
It's not his brute strength that worries most, but his method. The Street-Flayer doesn't strike randomly. He chooses his victims. He follows them. He isolates them. He waits for fear. Then he appears.
