Define Attacks

Now that we can determine the attack tests to be performed and the basic damage of an attack, we can define the actual attacks associated with the creature.

Here are the steps to create a creature's attack:

  1. Give the attack a name (e.g., Claw Strike)
  2. Define the type of attack (Melee, Ranged, or Magical)
  3. Specify the test bonuses to be added to the basic tests associated with this type of attack (between -5 and +5)
  4. Specify the damage bonuses to be added to the basic damage associated with this type of attack (between -5 and +5)

Example:
Claw Strike (Melee) -2/+2
In other words:

  • Claw Strike: name of the Attack
  • (Melee): Melee Attack Test
  • -2: subtract from Melee Attack Tests
  • +2: add to Base Damage
