Death and Recall

When a character succumbs, their soul departs from the plane of existence of the current universe to return to their original ethereal universe. However, they continue to observe their team through the doorway, allowing them to see and hear each member without being able to interact with them.

A soulless body can survive for a maximum of 3 days. The connection between the body and the soul is preserved for 24 hours, but 40 NX must be paid on the second and third day to maintain this connection.
The NX spent to maintain this connection belong primarily to the deceased player but can be supplemented by the NX of other players.

If it is no longer possible to maintain the connection between the soul and the body, the character dies for good and is no longer playable.

If the connection between the body and the soul is maintained, the character can be reincorporated through a Recall Ritual, which can be performed during a long rest.

To do this, a living comrade must volunteer and sacrifice 1 XP to successfully perform the ritual. As for the XP of the recalled character, they are reduced to 0, and their HP to 1.
However, the level of the recalled character and the number of skills acquired or purchased remain preserved.

Characters then regain their strength during rest in the conventional manner (see Long Rest).

In the event of the death of all characters in the group, no ritual can be performed, and their death will be final.
