The outfits worn by player characters during their adventures are endowed with unique properties that determine their resistance or weakness to different types of damage, significantly influencing how damage is received and calculated during confrontations.
Resistances: Level-based Absorption
Outfits can offer resistance to specific elements or types of weapons, thus enhancing the character's ability to withstand attacks from these categories.
When a character undergoes an attack of a type to which their outfit is resistant, the damage is reduced by an absorption mechanism equivalent to the character's level.
- Damage (resistance) = Normal damage - Attacked's level
In the event of a critical hit by the attacker, the reduction of damage is carried out after the calculation of critical damage (+50%).
- Critical damage (resistance) = (Normal damage +50%) - Attacked's level
Thus, higher-level characters will benefit more from their resistances thanks to this enhanced absorption capability.
Weaknesses: Additional Damage Based on Level
Conversely, if an outfit has a weakness to a certain type of element or weapon, the character becomes more vulnerable to these attacks.
In the event of a successful attack exploiting a weakness of the outfit, the attacking player adds their own level to the damage inflicted.
- Damage (weakness) = Normal damage + Attacker's level
In the event of a critical hit by the attacker, the increase in damage is carried out after the calculation of critical damage (+50%).
- Critical damage (weakness) = (Normal damage +50%) + Attacker's level
Interaction between Outfits and Over-Outfits
The resistances and weaknesses of an over-outfit add to those of the main outfit, enriching strategic possibilities. The effects of identical resistances and weaknesses on the main outfit and the over-outfit do not accumulate but influence the outcomes in the event of critical hits.
If the Main Outfit and the Over-Outfit are resistant to the same type of weapon or element, then the character will only suffer reduced normal damage even in the event of a critical hit.
Conversely, if the Main Outfit and the Over-Outfit are weak against the same type of weapon or element, then the character will systematically suffer increased critical damage by the attacker's level.
Finally, if your Outfit is resistant to an element or type of attack and your Over-Outfit is weak to that same element/type of weapon (or vice versa), the resistances and weaknesses cancel each other out.
