Level 8 and Over-Outfits

When your character reaches level 8, they reach a power plateau, but their adventure doesn't stop there. At this stage, new opportunities present themselves to broaden their skills and customize their playstyle.

Characteristic Points

When your character reaches level 8, you gain 2 additional characteristic points that you can freely allocate to your character.

Reminder: The maximum value for a characteristic is +6 (excluding bonuses).

Over-Outfits

Over-outfits are additional outfits that your character can buy and wear.

Unlike the outfits tied to the character's class, over-outfits can be of any other class within the character's universe. This allows you to explore new paths and acquire new skills.

Each skill from the over-outfit unlocks by spending 10 XP.

You can also purchase a Blank Over-Outfit that allows you to choose any ability compatible with the current universe, each time you spend 10 XP. However, you must define the defense bonuses (Def PHY/MAG) as well as the resistances and weaknesses of your Over-Outfit in agreement with the GM.

  • Cost of a Blank Over-Outfit = 80 NX + (10 x DEF Bonuses)

However, the DEF bonuses from over-outfits are applied directly to the PC and add up to those of the outfit.

Over-outfits are not subject to durability deterioration during battles. However, if the durability of the main outfit drops to zero, no more bonuses or abilities will be available. This includes both the main outfit and the over-outfit.

Over-Outfit and Magic Attribute

If the over-outfit belongs to a magic-using class and the character's main class also uses magic, the magic attribute determining the character's MP and Magic Atk remains that of the character's main class.

If the over-outfit belongs to a magic-using class but the character's main class does not use magic, then the magic attribute is determined by the class from which the over-outfit originates.

Outfit Change

One of the advantages of reaching level 8 is the ability to change the outfit or over-outfit more easily.

You no longer need to wait for the next gaming session to do so. You just need to make this change during a rest phase, whether it's short or long.

However, if you change your outfit during a short rest phase, you forfeit your rest.
