Balancing encounters is a central pillar to guarantee memorable and fair experiences for all players. The "Adversity Ratio" (AR) rule is designed to guide Game Masters (GMs) in creating balanced encounters.

The concept of the AR is based on a careful evaluation of the relative strength between player characters (PCs) and their adversaries, introducing a slight mathematical framework to balance confrontations.

Whether it's the size, power, or level of the creatures encountered, every aspect is taken into account to calculate an appropriate ratio, thus reflecting the dynamics of power present.
