Numerous Opponents

It is recommended that the maximum number of creatures does not stray too far from the number of player characters (PCs).

  • Max Number of Creatures ≤ Number of PCs + 1

In cases where you need to stage an encounter involving many adversaries, it is recommended to group your identical creatures into a squad.

Creatures in a Squad

If you have to face a large number of creatures against the player characters (PCs), manage the creatures in groups or squads (swarm, battalion, etc.) as if it was a single creature. A squad can only be composed of the same creatures.

Add up the HP of your creatures to get the HP of the squad.

When you gather creatures in a squad attacking together, you must add +2 to attack rolls and to the damage per additional creature.

Example:
A Goblin whose attack bonus of +2 for one of its attacks increases to +6 in a squad of 3 Goblins.
The damage for this same attack, originally at 2d4+1, increases to 2d4+5.
