In the beginning—if such a term can exist in the boundlessness of time—there was the Absolute. This infinite, flat world was immersed in eternal, vaporous mists in shades of grey. It was the union of all things and all knowledge, embodying peace and harmony, and everything was for the best. The entities inhabiting it were ethereal beings, souls that had evolved to a state of Harmony.
In doing so, they had left behind their pasts, abandoning all memory of their long cycle of reincarnations, as well as their desires, immersing themselves in this peaceful world. They had no physical form; they merely inhabited the permanent fog layers enveloping this world. This dull, sensory-deprived space might have driven any physical being insane, but without form or body, and communicating telepathically, they formed a collective consciousness that acted in unison and without secrecy. They shared concepts of music, images, smells, and tastes solely through thought, living in fulfillment.
Nevertheless, the realms were not stable; a tiny part of chaos was present in everything and altered the world according to its whims. The entropy was not due to any external influence or malevolent desire of an individual but to the very nature of the souls, who subconsciously refused the idleness inherent in a perfect and unchanging world. All beings thus acted in concert to maintain balance in the Absolute.
